The Story

When you wear sea glass, you’re carrying someone’s story. Get to know the person collecting these stories for you.

Ingrid Caduri hand-collects her sea glass on the shores near the Panama Canal. Sandy feet, tangled hair, and a patient smile are her allies as she boats between islands, bags of glass at her feet, mind whirling with excitement.

Back home in the tropics, Ingrid’s artistry begins. Delicately sorting and matching the seaglass, she perceives the unique energy in each piece. She moves slowly, with meaning and intention. The result is a collection infused with positive energy– from the ocean itself and the women it inspires.

the sea glass

As for the sea glass, there’s no telling what its story may be.

Was it part of a wine bottle, shared by lovers on a beach? What is part of a ship that ultimately went down? Was it an empty bottle, tossed to sea by a brazen young sailor crossing the Panama Canal? And what will its story be, now that you wear it?

This jewelry entered the ocean as simply broken glass. After decades of nonstop tumbling in the waves, those broken shards of glass finally emerge as the smooth, luminous sea glass you see today.

When you wear sea glass, you are carrying its history with you– along with the ocean's transformative energy.

the process - the intention

Ingrid Caduri believes in the magic of intention. Her creation process is thoughtfully designed to infuse positive energy into her jewelry, every step of the way.

Sea glass may be gathered on the beach, but the real magic happens in Ingrid's happy, sun-filled studio.

Her design process starts with a spark of an idea, hurriedly sketched on paper. After comes the careful contemplation on how the piece will be crafted. Finally, she sits down at her bench to hand make each piece.

For new creations, this is through patient trial and error. For established jewelry designs, her hands follow familiar movements until each piece is perfect.

Ingrid Caduri adores what she does, and that love and good intention is transferred to each piece of jewelry she makes. In her mind, it’s simple: Just be love.
