HOW WILL MY PACKAGE BE SHIPPED?
Your package will be shipped via USPS with a tracking number, unless you choose another carrier at checkout. If you are not located in the US, please familiarize yourself with your country’s policies and customs fees. All customs forms I fill out will have an accurate record of the packages contents and their value. I am not responsible for taxes, customs, or VAT.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO ARRIVE?
Made to order jewelry will arrive at your door in 1-2 weeks. Ready to ship jewelry will arrive at your door within 3-5 days. Please let me know if you need your jewelry by a certain date and I'll try my best to make that happen.
HOW IS IT PACKAGED?
All items ship safely bubble-wrapped in decorative boxes ready for gift giving. I do not include a printed receipt because I love to save trees.
WHAT IF IT GETS LOST IN THE MAIL?
To date USPS have never lost a package I’ve sent. In the event that this does happen, I will do everything in my power to help you track it down. I am not liable for items lost in the mail. Please purchase insurance or tracking at checkout if this is a concern your have.
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
I offer easy, no-questions asked returns within 14 days of receiving your jewelry. Must be pre-authorized, see shop policies for details.
WHAT IF IT DOESN’T FIT?
I do not do returns or exchanges based on wrong size. Please know your size before ordering your jewelry. The best way to know your favorite chain length is to measure a chain that you already have. The most reliable way to know your ring size is to use a ring sizing tool at a jewelry shop. Unfortunately, my rings can't be resized.
HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY JEWELRY?
Handmade jewelry is art. It should be treated as such. To make sure it stays in good condition, avoid wet and strenuous activity while wearing your jewelry. I also recommend removing your jewelry during hand washing, swimming, showering, applying lotion, etc. When exposed to these activities, the glue that was used to set your stone can become compromised. Store your jewelry in a dry location, preferably in an airtight bag. To make the metal like new again, simply use a polishing cloth (I love Sunshine brand). If your jewelry gets dirty, clean with a soft brush. Take care not to scratch the metal, it may damage the layer of 14K gold. To keep your glass looking lustrous, give it a rub with coconut oil once a month. Read more about taking care of your jewelry here.
ABOUT THE JEWELRY AND MATERIALS
Take a couple minutes to learn a little bit about sea glass, and what goes into sea glass jewelry.
WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR SEA GLASS?
I personally collect the sea glass on beaches near the Panama Canal. It is authentic, Pacific Ocean, Panama sea glass. What is interesting about Panama sea glass, is that due to the history and activity of the region, the glass could be from anywhere in the world. It could be part of an old Chinese medicine bottle from the time when Chinese labored, building the Canal. It could have been dropped by a European sailor, on his way through the canal. It truly is mystery glass.
WHY DOES THE SEA GLASS ON MY JEWELRY LOOK DIFFERENT THAN THOSE ON THE WEBSITE?
Your jewelry is one-of-a-kind! No two pieces of sea glass are exactly alike, and that’s the beauty of it.
CAN YOU MAKE JEWELRY WITH SEA GLASS I COLLECTED?
Possibly! Each piece of glass is different, and I never know if I will be able to effectively set it until I see it. Email me for questions.
WHAT KIND OF METAL DO YOU USE?
I order my metal from a reputable U.S. based jewelry supplier that has been a provider for the jewelry community for decades. Most metal is use is 14K gold filled, and is required to be 5% gold by weight. What does that mean? There is a base metal on the inside of the metal, and a layer of 14K gold on top.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOLD FILLED AND GOLD PLATED?
There is a big difference between the way gold plated and gold filled metals are made. Gold filled items have a much thicker, higher quality layer of gold on them, an actual layer of gold that is pressure bonded to another base metal. Gold plating is done through a chemical, electroplating process and coats the base metal with an extremely thin layer of gold. Gold filled literally has 100% more gold than gold plating, and is much more valuable and tarnish resistant. It does not flake off, rub off or change colors.
