Rare Cobalt Sea Glass
In its heyday, this vibrant blue glass was a symbol of luxury and prosperity. It was so highly sought after that people would transport it across countries to have it. Before technology made it easier to mass produce, only the wealthiest families had cobalt glass. Later on, this deep blue glass came from Noxzema jars, Milk of Magnesia, Vick's Vapor Rub, and poison bottles. Medicine and poisons were bottled in cobalt blue glass to differentiate it from other liquids.
.
Because blue glass was so valuable, it wasn't often thrown out, so it is extremely rare to find cobalt sea glass. Because of its color, however, it is easier to spot on the beach. I managed to find just enough to put together this limited edition Cobalt Collection of necklaces, earrings, and bracelets just for you. I hope you find a piece that speaks to you and manifests your desires for the new year.
