Sea Glass Jewelry to Fall For
Crisp autumn leaves. Caramel-dipped apples. Golden sunsets. Pumpkins. Cider. And the promise that if we have the courage to let old things go, something new and more glorious will take its place in the spring. We've encapsulated all of the best fall vibes in our Fall Collection of handmade necklaces, bracelets, earrings featuring sea glass in amber, chocolate, yellow, and citrine.
Amber and Chocolate
Amber and deep brown sea glass comes in many hues, from dark chocolate to glowing light amber. Amber sea glass can date back to the late 1800's; it was once old Clorox and Lysol bottles, or tobacco snuff jars, medicinal jars, and even mason jars. Only one in twenty five pieces of sea glass may be amber. The deeper chocolate color is more common, and most of it comes from the same product--beer bottles. Since beer bottles are quite common, this is one of the more standard colors of sea glass, but it's still amazing to see what nature can make out of something manmade and mundane. And what better way to recycle than to turn it into beautiful gold-set jewelry?
Citrine
A more rare color of sea glass, this olive-green color usually comes from scrap art or wine bottles. In fact, a lot of citrine is found along the coasts of Italy. We have this vibrant color available as a necklace or a bracelet, set in glistening gold. Either way you wear it, it is sure to make your favorite fall outfit shine.
Yellow
Yellow glass represents a fun bit of history and one of the rarest sea glass colors on earth! It is rare because it was never mass-produced. It was used mostly for fine tableware during the Depression Era when most people couldn't afford such luxuries. So when you order your yellow sea glass necklace, you will be getting a piece of history that is just as rare and unique as you are.
